Book Club & Writing Hour: The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri

Our third book club meet, around The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri — with a writing hour before it.

9 to 10am — Writer's Table. A prompt-led writing hour, this time on names and naming: what we were given, what we answer to, what we'd choose. No experience needed, and nothing has to be read aloud. Bring a notebook.

10am to 12pm — Book club. We read The Namesake for the weight a name carries, and for what it is to grow up between two places and belong entirely to neither.

KSh 1,100 to reserve a spot, which covers both and includes a drink from the book club menu. Come for the whole morning or just the book club — the writing hour is there if you'd like it.

Read as much of the book as you manage. Coming with it half-finished is fine.
