What we do if something is not right.
Books
If you change your mind, bring the book back within 24 hours of buying it, with your receipt, unread and in resalable condition. We will exchange it or issue a credit note. We do not give cash refunds for a change of mind.
A faulty book is a different matter and no time limit applies. If a copy is misbound, missing pages, or damaged in production, bring it back whenever you find the fault and we will replace it or refund it.
Library membership
Membership fees, including the per-book sign-up fee, are not refundable. The sign-up fee works like a joining fee: it is paid once per book slot and it opens your borrowing place.
Events and workshops
Places are paid for in advance and are not refundable. If you cannot come, let us know and we will issue you a credit for the value of your place. You can spend that credit on anything here — coffee, a book, another event, or towards a library membership.
Nothing in this policy affects your rights under Kenyan law where goods are faulty, unsafe, or not as described. Those rights stand whatever we write here.
